not meant as analogy. they push lcd screens as saving energy. but that isn't why people buy them. if a company buys 500, it saves energy- but pays a lot for the 500 monitors. it may save substantial rent. they do look nice.

if some one has a 500mhz computer, they may buy a 3 ghz, 80 gig hard drive 512 ram and flat screen- usb 2,win xp, broadband and dump the 4 year old computer. and gtw and dell may each make good money. perhaps naz will go back to 3000.
