And a hello to you, Bill. I wasn't discussing various tactics of warfare used by Israelis and Palestinians but was discussing the possibilities of political settlements. It looks to me, to repeat my typing, that the present dynamics are driving each party to its more extreme partisans. Thus, without some external actor--the US government, let us say, I don't see how a settlement is likely. I think this dynamic is as true of the Palestinians as of the Israelis.
