here's another disparity I haven't seen explained housing starts were up almost what? 6% or so last month, but mortgage apps fell almost 9% -- I know there was a slowing in refi activity, but not enough to account for the disparity -- what is it? just stupid builders extrapolating the good times ad infinitum -- a bounce back from bad weather -- mortgage apps are way more important for forecasting the near term home sales, no?
