Interesting is liking, isn't it? A good villain to hate is lovely. If that isn't liking, what is? They are so necessary many people go about trying to create them in real life (Which is clear if you follow ANYONE talking politics about the "other side"- whoever or whatever that other side is). Much safer to confine one's hobby in villains to literature, I think.

BTW- did I tell you to be sure to catch the new film The Hours? I hear from a friend that is is really good, if you like Woolf. Some of the reviews were not as nice, but I trust my friend. And DO see The Long Runner- the Inuit movie. It should be coming to video soon. One of the best movies I've ever seen. I was reading some "best of" lists and they had the obnoxious Piano Teacher on the lists. Gag me. That was one of the weirdest movies I've seen. I considered it a great waste of talent. Blech, Ugliness and neurosis in search of meaning and plot. Quite the creepy little movie. I would have been happy to put it on my 10 worst, and so would everyone I've discussed it with who has seen it.
