re:"But nothing prevented Bush from expressing his position. He chose the status quo. And in the South, that means something."

B.S. I don't believe President Bush attacked Bob Jones' position on Catholicism either (while at Bob Jones). But maybe he felt that since his brother, has a very high profile in the South, and is Catholic, he didn't have too.

You should know, that for at least 20 years, Segregation has been greatest in the Northeast and Midwest and not the South. Which means that the large cities Senator Clinton represents, are more Segregated than the metros Strom Thurmond represents. But then again, like you said: "Hey, in politics perception is reality".

Well thirdy, being Catholic, it is obvious to me that President Bush's visit to Bob Jones fit 100% into the Catholic tradition. I cannot fathom what straw men you imagine that get you so upset. Until I think about the Gospels.

You misplaced complaints demonstrate even more how the President's actions were Christlike. But your apparent ignorance of the Gospels make you a perfect schill.

Many could not understand why Christ would dine with a tax collector.

Thank you.
