Wasn't it just a few months ago that the North and South were after so many years actually talking and meeting together and allowing long separated families to come together? Were they not even discussing train systems to allow for travel between the two long separated enemies?

Then what happened in such a short time to cause all this havoc? Ah yes, we made the North part of the "Axis of Evil". Naah, couldn't be something like that.....we are the good guys.

Yes, like Japan was taking advantage of our pre-occupation with Germany, and all of a sudden we have a ten ton gorilla headache in the world. All starting with the Axis Of Evil speech which was not only inaccurate (they are not an axis) but was inflammatory to those it was targeted against. Does Bush thnk these things through upfront or not?
