My point is not about facts of what happened in the past and blame. I am speaking to what is the heart and soul expressed in the words. The problem is reconciliation of the ideas of Islam with today requires several dozen blasphemies. That is what it seems to me. In Our Lord's message there is not this requirement. It's kind of like you have to say throw out that commandment. Well several dozen. And all modern Islamic texts do not. The Koran is regarded as the actual laws of God revealed to man. This is not out of the main stream of Islamic thinking. An example is in the treating of woman. The modern uptodate versions of the Koran no longer states that you beat a disobedient woman. It uses the modern common sense compromise revision. Beat as a last resort. In Christianity, any person who harms any other for any reason can have his Christianity questions using the words of Christ. In Islam any person so does not support a Moslem in doing whatever to the infidel can have is Islam questioned. And using the words of the Koran argued a blasphemer subject even to death. The point is no twisting of meaning is required. Only in defense is twisting required. There is no concept of turning the other cheek. If one is not a Muslim, one has no standing with God. Current Islamic Governments hold the word of a woman must be supported by the words of 4 male Moslems. That is what putting to death that woman in Africa was all about. A woman who is raped and becomes pregnant is put to death. That is the law of the land of current modern Islamic states. From all accounts of the words of Our Load, On the issue of the treatment of woman, Islam is ANTI Christ. Spencer I believe has made and honest effort to search out why what I've said ain't so. Spencer is still searching and so am I. But I am far more wary and cautious today. I think it is prudent to be asking these questions.
