HI Rollcast, I have found a home here after the zonderization I endured. Many jewish folks are university trained and define themselves as intellectuals. They are in the vanguard of many political movements. Hell the Nazis attacked the jews because we were both communists and captialist exploiters. Thats why the AS attack(much like trent lott) causes such revulsion. Compared to the number of liberal jews, neocons are a mere handful. Folks like Bill Kristol and John Podheretz have fathers who made the conversion from left to right after seeing in the 40s and 50s first the true nature of communism abroad and the flaws of the welfare state at home. Personally as a Jew, i made a similar move. It has little to do with Israel and much to do with domestic and foreign policies that make sense to me. Guys like Buchanan have transferred their dislike of liberal jews(who continue to vote 75-80% for democrats) to neocons which begs the question of whether they are anti- semetic to begin with. AS in my opinion is anti-Jewish--there was no need in his attack of neocons to bring Jews into it. It came out of left field for a Kerry supporter who has many friends in the Jewish community and who needs their support. Or perhaps AS is just simple minded and was thinking that Jews would fall lockstep behind Kerry opponent Lieberman who is perceived as a neocon as well? Mike
