California is screwed no matter how you slice it

I grew up hearing many stories about Los Angeles during the Great Depression from my Grandparents.

From what they told me, the oranges and avocados still grew ripe in the warm weather and sunny days.
They were able to move up to much larger homes which sold at a 90% discount.
I suspect things will be just as enjoyable this time around, in spite of the headlines.
