You could be right ... then I would have to eat my hat ... of course, I would have to first go out and buy one - I don't own a 'crow' hat ... <g> ... I say January is down ... big-time down to new lows, followed by a huge bear-market rally (the last one in this cycle) ... and then on with a really serious recession and financial crisis, caused partly by the Iraq external shock to the U.S. economy that the Fed has been holding off for 2 years ... ... and then the bottom for this financial and economic cycle in late 2003 and early 2004 ... ... and then bye-bye Mr Greenspan ... "we loved you in the 90s, but we're gonna hate you forever and ever" ... ... and bye-bye also to the political right wing extremist 'supply-siders' ... ...
