Right. And all those who follow charts will feed on each other's activities, and the charts will become a self fulfilling prophecy. Round and round she goes, where she stops, nobody knows. An interesting study in mass psychology.

All the while the stock is going up, the risk is rising. Sooner or later reality hits and the euphoria dies away, along with the stock price. So, the poor innocent shmucks who bought in at the top 10% get hurt the most. And, they're typically the smaller investor who can't afford the loss.

It happens over and over and over again.

Sad, really. But, that's life. If they can't handle the loss, they shouldn't be in the market. Unfortunately, it's easy to be swayed by others' enthusiasm. Those who shouldn't be investing in high risk stocks do it anyway.
