Les,re:"war on poverty?". It's LOST. Check the trophy
properties around the country owned by the rich and
famous. The FED may know some of those in the winners'
circle.
Look at news of the 'VIOLENT REWARD and COMPENSATION'
received by the "deserving" star performers daily.

These are very 'resource depleting' activities, the more
the 'deserving stars' have, the more 'resources' they
consume and the less left to the 'non-performers(losers)'.

Historically, for a society as a while, the problem is
not how much we have, it's how 'uneven' it's shared.

The policy/culture designed by the FED/Gov is: 'winners
take all. Losers get lost'. The 'worship of drug==(money)'
is cultivated by the government, since the Gov. solves
problem by supplying ample of 'drug(money)'.

Another problem is: it's never enough becasue 'progress' is
measured by 'how much we have that we don't need'.
