what i don't understand is this: If many others do what I plan to do, the market is going to have a hard time early in 2003. I suspect some people are just waiting like myself for the new year to pull money out of the IRA i'm not sure the rationale for "waiting for the new year" if retired....i took it to mean he was probably waiting to defer taxes..most of the time when people begin their retirement draws on the IRA they just say they are retiring. maybe we should just ask.
