A couple of years back, I did savour this little bit of philosphical fun:

Chomsky was once such a hero to me. He was
the first to touch my curiousity about the
human mind and language. He made the structure
of computer programming seem beautiful.

Although both fields are now moving beyond Chomsky,
I still do remember him very fondly. In my liberal
days I owned a copy of the TV documentary "Manufacturing
Consent" and watched in many times.

Of course, as Proust says, "The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes", I have new eyes today.
