David Re...Speculation, yes. But Bush's ceasefire (and it WAS, effectively, Bush's) with Saddam was a good, tough agreement.

It isn't difficult to bluff, when you know you have the winning hand. The Us already had Saddam's pants around his knees, and was giving him a good paddling. How could have Saddam refused to say yes at that point. Kim was standing in a better position, and could afford to Bill's bluff at that time in history. Now its different.

Clinton could NEVER have shown the kind of strength Bush has shown.

I don't know about that. Bill could bluff, but his bluffs usually involved lies. Bill carried off his " I never had sex with that woman" one convincingly, until it was proven much later to be a lie. Hell, Ted still believes it. Do you really think GW could have pulled that one off. Not a chance. Laura and the girls would have trimmed GW's big ears into nubs by now.

One nuke placed in downtown Seoul will kill a lot of people; Bio/Chem weapons delivered by artillery 20 miles away can kill just as many. The fact that we have more is immaterial. NK having these weapons has undoubtedly already had an effect on how we are dealing with NK.

Of course, that is why Gw handed the problem off to China. While a nuclear bomb can kill 200,000 people in Seoul, Kim knows his life wouldn't be very lenghty after that either.

, too, think this is a likely scenario. However, it may or may not address the problem of NK exports of these technologies (weapons as well as delivery systems) to anyone with sufficient funds -- this being the most important reason we need it dealt with.

Kim is likely aware that selling nuclear bombs to others would put him in Saddams expendable category. In fact, that could be very well be the reason the NK boat was interdicted last month; just to let Kim know how well the CIA can track these things; and send a message.

While has dad definitely showed courage in his handling of the Gulf War, I don't think it rises to this level.

Absolutely, this 9/11 thing is far more difficult.

As to Clinton, he didn't have the courage to face the American People honestly, hell he didn't even face his WIFE honestly.

LOL You say that, but put yourself in Bill's shoes. Who was far more likely to kill or maim him, Saddam or Hillary? There is a threshold of pain for even the bravest man.
