Of course, if we have an "event" over the New Year's holiday, that scenario is out of the window. Other than the episode with the 5 Pakistani's sneaking into the country from Canada, I haven't heard much about heightened precautions for New Year's...Hope the terrorists won't decide to use this complacency to execute some plot or another....BTW, who was buying all that gold on the Comex today?

tippet gold was up 390 today and shares were even or down. I think gold and equities and bonds can and will selloff at the same time.
