I admire wealthy people who dont stiff the poor and middleclass. Dont you? A long time ago the GOP was made up of many such people. Now it seems to be made up of those who care only about their own. Started in the 80's. Greed is good. This is why jeffords types switch parties. I grew up with moderate Republicans in New England. Like the Bushes used to be a long time ago. They cared about the environment, helping people, paying their taxes. Not anymore in the new GOP since they merged with the old Dixiecrats and spawned the Rush Limbaugh generation of white male divisive plunderers and spin-meisters. The trent Lott affair proves the GOP needs to soul-search but what did they do? Denied it, swept it under the rug and tried to blame democrats (as usual). Can never admit their flaws or true motives. By the way the richest man in America Bill gates thinks the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy are vile.
