How long has "help" (your words) or "welfare" and many other social help programs (my words) been available....??? Years??? Since the 1930's???? Seventy years or so??? How has the literacy rate come up? Are children still hungry? How many deadbeat dads are paying for their kids? How many folks are on drugs, even after several expensive rehab centers? How much crime caused by drugs/alcohol has decreased over those 70 years????? Why do some of the "knownothing black so called leaders" encourage some of those they would like to lead not to admire Colin Powell or Condi Rice? Many here do belong to the GOP, and actively support many charities personally in addition to many of those groups and many others through our tax dollars. So no, missy....you just don't get it at all. IMO of course. And hopefully, you are not representative of Mr. Kerry. He will lose for sure with folks like you.
