JohnM is the first one to question sources when responding to an article, so it is fair game when discussing the post of an article.

Bill,

I've tried to stay out of these little asides about me. It helps no one for me to say something. But, occassionally, as in this one, it's important to correct something. I don't think I started all this but it's irrelevant who did, it just needs to stop.

However, having said that, I think we face a dilemma. One of the great strengths of this thread is the way we've all, combatitively, pointed out sources and imputed frames to the sources. That we disagree about the role of the sources and how much "bias" they introduce, goes without saying. But I think that argument has been, on the whole, beneficial.

I think this should continue. But, once those things are pointed out about a given piece, a given newspaper, a given media outlet, and a debate has occurred, we should all move on.
