When they force these workers on weekends and holidays they have to pay them overtime which runs anywhere from time and a half to double Thats cheap. Non wage labour costs are expensive ( benefits, pensions, etc etc) . Work a few weeks a year at double time or carry a fulltime for a year with benefits. Not fair but if you were writing the cheques you'd see it more clearly. Unfortunately thats the reality. Don't beat on me. I just drew back the curtain for you, that's all. Make what you will of it.
