Actually, I was thinking yesterday about a little rally to maybe 1391, a drop to test 1327 COMP, then a rise into expiration. That's similar to what transpired in February-March 2002.

USA Today poll of 10 "top" strategists for 2003..

8 of 10 predict SnP up 10-30% in 2003, led by AJC..

Only 2 looking for negative returns for year, of that, only -2% (Bernstein) and the new J.P Morgan dude (-8%)..

A big negative year definently a contrarian play ng Better said, "fade the losers"?

I reckon any rally here is shortable ng, g but I do think this could run during much of Jan., maybe even exceed top from Nov (sentiment indicators flying off charts?) before big crack..

I reserve right to change mind as often as my wife (changes her mind) g

There seems to be a ton of doubt about this rally among bears...many thinking it will die within (late afternoon-Monday) and between here and low 1400s.....calls of "fake rally", etc

Kindof reminds me of early Oct. g,ng
