I think it is hard to compare Clinton's cruise missiles to Bush's war on Iraq. ANYONE who was president after 9/11 would have started the same way, to finally get serious about terrorism.
That quote from Sun Tsu about winning a war without actually going to war is an excellent one. I think Saddam will be gone to exile just as soon as we get ALL the ducks in a row, and not one day before. He won't survive if we actually have to fight, but he will get credit from his Arab peers if he makes America expend Desert Storm money again. Especially sitting pretty in a compound financed by the US. He can claim to be the Arab bee in the US giant's nose. Maybe he should think about what happened to Escobar in his Columbian 'prison' (after he is there).
