Your post to Fred is dangerously close to the pot calling the kettle black, Tom.

Thomas....

>>LOL.... Well at least you have a diversity of opinion in your ministry of the fruitcakes..... samo samo... It's a 1 2 3 day...>>

Today IS a 123 day!!

January 1, January 2 and January 3 are behind us. And right smack in the middle of 1/1, 1/2 and 1/3 we had 1/02/03 which is a very significant kind of date that happens only once per century - see below.

Also note that....

123 = 41 prime X 3

41 prime corresponds to this phrase which the Lord God Jesus Christ said while he walked in our world:

I (9) Am (14) The (285) Light (39782) Of (66) The (285) World (56934)) = 97375 = 41 prime X 2375

Route 41 extends from the upper penninsula of Michigan at Copper Harbor, runs through Green Bay and Milwaukee Wisconsin, through Chicago and Hammond Indiana before going all the day down to the sunshine state of Florida where it ends in.....

M I AM I - which is I (9) Am (14) - see below - sandwiched between Mi (49).

The quarterback for Ohio State University was from Michigan where route 41 begins. And OHIO (6896) is the prime of the divine birthmonth Leo (356) = 89 prime X 3 sandwiched between 66 which is D-day - June 6 - which is always 66 days from the Divine Birth of the Lord God Jesus Christ, August 11th.

And if you examine MICHIGAN you will find that you have Mi (49) + Gan (715) = God (764) which surrounds Chi (389) which is the Greek letter "X" which stands for "Christos" which is where the English word, Christ, came from.

But back to 123......

123 days prior to today was 20020903 which was the 6th Anniversary of the passing/ascension of my late father into heaven. September 3rd is EXACTLY 23 prime days from the divine birth of the Lord God Jesus Christ, August 11th.

And 23 prime corresponds to I (9) Am (14) = 23 prime which was part of the original name and title that the Lord God gave to Moses on Mt. Sinai.

Right on Thomas!!

Thanks for sharing those sweet fruitcakes of yours!

Peace and God Bless,

119293!!

In the wake of millennium mania, numerologists and astrologists ponder the significance of today's date

By Jack Thomas, Globe Staff, 1/2/2003

K, so Y2K was exaggerated, and in the end - after all those warnings about financial chaos, government meltdown, and global Armageddon - Jan. 1, 2000, arrived with the concussion of a butterfly on a buttercup. Alt TextThe apocalypse, it turns out, was apocryphal.

Ah, but beware this day, for once again the numbers of the calendar fall in such a way as to quicken the pulse of numerologists, astrologists, stargazers, and anyone else fascinated by spilled salt and other cosmic symmetries.

You may not have noticed, but today is Jan. 2, 2003 - 01/02/03.

''Yes, I'm aware of it,'' says Dusty Bunker of Brentwood, N.H., a numerologist and astrologist for 25 years and author of eight books. ''It's true that it happens only once a century, but there are other combinations, too, like June 7, 1989, when the numbers were 6/7/89.''

Numerology, Bunker reminds skeptics, is an ancient science, a language practiced by Pythagoras and others. ''Figures are used for measurement, but numbers represent characteristics, qualities, predictable cycles.

''It's reflected in how we talk,'' she says. ''We say we're at sixes and sevens, or we went the whole nine yards, and if you interchange numbers it doesn't sound right, because at subconscious levels we're aware of what these numbers mean.''

Some people are naturally attracted to odd dates. Boston University professor Richard Landes teaches a course in millennialism, or apocalyptic expectation, that now, after Sept. 11, 2001, attracts twice as many students as it did in the millennial year.

''Regarding the date, what we're dealing with are people who see significance in patterns where there isn't necessarily significance, because in their mind, there is nothing random.

''At an apocalyptic time - when there's a belief we're near the end of the world - people become semiotically aroused. Everything is a message. There are no coincidences. Still, in circles I pay attention to, I have not detected interest in this date, and if people are excited about it, it may be gravitational pull from the year 2000.''

History supports his theory. The last time such a sequence occurred - Saturday, Jan. 2, 1903 - the event warranted not a mention in the Globe. John L. Bates was about to be inaugurated governor. The czar was vacationing in Yalta. Marconi was headed to Wellfleet for what the Globe called the wafting of wireless messages across the Atlantic.

Tomorrow is more likely to be of interest to astronomers as the time Earth reaches perihelion, that point in orbit when it is closest to the sun, nearly 91,400,000 miles. Science fiction buffs will recognize the date as the 83d anniversary of the birth of author Isaac Asimov.

Of course, most of the world records today as 02/01/03 and will regard Feb. 1 as 01/02/03. Either way, numerologists will be attentive to the 1-2-3 factor, and Landes explains the appeal.

''One of the great existential dilemmas involves a universe that doesn't care about us, doesn't make sense, and if you see these webs of meaning, then it does make sense. On one level, semiotic arousal can lead to semiotic promiscuity, which is that everything has meaning to it. On the other hand, some of our great scientific discoveries and great works of art come from people who, in fact, notice connections the rest of us don't,'' he says, citing Pythagoras, Marx, Newton, Einstein.

''Sometimes particular dates trigger significant events. On June 6, 1966 (6/6/66),'' he says, ''there was widespread belief the Antichrist would appear, and in Latin America there was a wave of baptisms in preparation.''

In spite of the numerological significance of 01/02/03, Bunker has no plans to use this knowledge to play the lottery.

''You know,'' she says, ''I've had people from around the world call me and say they'd split winnings with me if I would help them pick the numbers. My response is, if I could do that, why wouldn't I do it for myself?''
