If this is a war, the "prisoners" are POWs. (Yes, we beat this subject to death. Still, I don't see US honor the part in Geneva convention that says if in doubt, prisoners should be accorded POW status until their status is determined by a court of law.)

I understand all that. But in this context, one must also acknowledge that WTC was also OK. I do not accept that. Neither do you. So we do agree that there are some rules to follow, no matter what the situation.

I happen to agree with the Geneva convention, along with numerous other agreements in history, that condemns torture of prisoners in any case. That's all.
