BMW did not specify a number of $80,000 per vehicle. As a previous poster indicated, affording something and choosing to buy it are two different things. There are many wealthy Chinese and a rapidly expanding middle class. It will take time to find out how they choose to spend their money. Until now they have been fairly content saving their money -- something you cannot say about Americans who are up to their eyeballs in debt and praying that they can keep their jobs to make the payments. Many Americans buy things they cannot afford -- that is not the case in all countries.

Another bad year for US tech spending .. news.yahoo.com .. while in China, outside of agriculture which will only grow at 3%, the rest of the economy will enjoy another year of high double-digit growth.
