And guess what language they are all busy learning? Americans are too arrogant to learn Foreign Languages. Plus, they don't need to, with all the Foreigners learning theirs.

Not to mention the fact an American can go travel from the Arctic Circle to the Mexican border without ever needing to speak anything but English. Europeans who get snotty about Americans being barbarians for not knowing 5 languages and not having a passport are really just expressing their own ignorance. We have an entire Continent, larger than Europe, which requires no passport to travel and no language but English. Just because North America isn't the linguistic and political Babel that is Europe is no indication of lack of culture.

Hi Bill,

You refuse to say what you are, except a citizen of Monaco

I am not a citizen of Monaco, either. Monaco citizens are Monegasque, by the way. For your information, there are close to NO FRENCH in Monaco, because they have no tax advantage. (Yes, we are all very sad for them <g>)

That country is part of France from a cultural standpoint, so I consider you culturally French.

Ah. So that's what passes for logical deduction for you. Very sad.

Your political positions certainly reflect the French view, IMO

And of course you know all about "the French view". My views are not all that different from those of Italians, English (yes, believe it), Spanish, etc.

I said the French failed to make a revolution based on the Enlightenment, not that the Renaissance failed

That is news to me. And to all of Europe, as well, I bet. But I am not about to go into that debate now. FPDT, and all that...

>>"USA runs the world" is one reason why resentment grows against Americans every day?<<

Let's agree on one thing - if you are going to quote, do not bastardise my statements, and quote them in full. I did NOT say that the FACT that USA is the only superpower left is why people resent Americans. I did say, however that arrogant statements like the ones you made in the other post, one of which was "USA runs the world" is why Americans are resented.

Our European friends today are in the Eastern part

Right. They desperately need the favors, you mean.

Americans are too arrogant to learn Foreign Languages. Plus, they don't need to

Very true. Still, I did not "need to" either, but I did. What does that tell you, Bill?

I was having some fun at the expense of the French, who will never get over their feeling of lost superiority

Have fun while it lasts, then. And don't be surprised when resentment grows against you.

I guess I will identify you by that new term we have, "Euro."

Whatever. I have a term for you as well.
