I don't mean that Barrick won't surpass the others and that it is probably a better buy than NEM right now - even undoubtedly so - but I meant that it's easy for the Nickles, Butlers, Benes of this world to make unsubstantiated slurs against Barrick in the sure knowledge that it's extremely hard to bring a successful action for libel or slander in the US, and some of all of this sticks and creates an aura of uncertainty. So some of the lie sticks. Barrick has so far refused to take legal action, but this Blanchard suit will force them to court, there is no settlement possible unless Blanchard withdraws, and a counter action by Barrick may have this effect.
