We're either going to 26.50 QQQ and 325-330 SOXX or we'll hit pain and melt. I think the former, rather than the latter, especially since the COMP broke out of the down channel today. Why cant we more or less go sideways till expiry. That would keep the most people guessing. I am not long but I hope we go up. Especially if we sink into expiry close. That should be a very reliable signal to stay short until march. M

aj-Max pain may matter later?..I mean we still have 11 trading days till expiration. In November, we hit max pain around Nov 11 4-5 days before expiration and then went back above it.

aj, looking a bit closer into the sox situation, i see that all that is between todays close and 320 is the gap down of a few weeks ago. that should allow the sox to shoot right back up to that area if the market gods are happy in the am. i have 50 ma at 316.6, and past resistance areas of 320,325 and 330 as likely stopping points. i will gladly take anything in 316-325 area to sell the lonely call. j for spx i see a stone wall 30 feet thick and 100 feet tall at 920-925 spx for any possible surge in am. this is also very close to my long ago pivot high of 930 so should we get there, i will wave my magic wand and turn all my calls into puts. j
