I disagree on energy. Over time, cleaner fuels will be LESS expensive and make us MORE competitive. And it will gradually make us a much stronger nation. Having to kiss butt with the Saudis now is disgusting to me. After all that is where 9-11 really came from, not Iraq or even Afghanistan.

Getting deeply involved in the middle east is a bad mistake. If you've been over there, you know that east is east and west is west and never the two shall unite. same with Asia for the most part. We can be allies, enemies or partners but never their lords, masters or bosom buddies. And why would we want to anyway? One word, OIL. So let's gradually get off it and dispense with that motivation.
