Yes, isn't it amazing how much time some people spend on the internet bashing politicians day after day? It's one thing, of course, to criticize one's own government (after all, as Americans, we fight for and relish our freedom of speech), quite another to do it from afar.

As a liberal American, I'm certainly out-yelled here on SI. Do I think we'd be wrong to *go to war* with Iraq? Yes. Will I vote for a strong Democratic presidential candidate in the next election? Yes.

Am I patriotic? You bet I am. I'm so pleased to be an American, one who acknowledges my country's warts as well as its strengths.

BTW, my bet is that you're an American ex-pat, given your command of American vernacular and cozy dislike of our current government.

I nominate Baldur Fjolnisson. The dead beat still beats America, the country that has provided homes and hope to more of the world's oppressed than any other in the world, but doesn't have the COJONES to back his BS with his $$$$.
