Yes, I remember the "FBI...". I think there was another one called "G-Men" or "Treasury Dep't" or something similar.

I remember Lorraine's "'Good evening, Mr. and Mrs. North America ... and all the ships at sea,' said Jimmy Fiddler, punctuating his news flashes with the dit, dit, dit, dot of Morse code." as being the opening line of Walter Winchell, not Jimmy Fiddler, never heard of him but her recollections go beck further than mine.

I also recall Arthur Godfrey, George Burns and Gracie Allen, Gunsmoke (whose announcer was the "Fat Man" - William Conrad??? - from the TV show "Jake and the Fatman") and others slowly re-materializing like faded ghosts from the shadows of my memories.

There should be a website with all this stuff somewhere; I'll try to find it.
