Nadine, we could easily go back and forth. However, for purposes of comity, I won't--lol! FaultLine already faulted me once. But, hey, I wuz innocent--lol!!!

Couple comments on that.

First, I imagine citizens of other countries also take pride in their own respective constitutional declarations, that pride of country is not simply an 'American' thing. That there's more wealth in our nation than in other nations shouldn't dominate the thinking. Should it?

Does the most populous country because its got more people supporting its own constitution win on a comparative scale as to which constitution is superior? A world court, after all, is just that: a world court. Or is the power and wealth of our nation such that we like a world court only when it works in our favor?

Second, is today's U.S. Constitution as good as it ever was? Given what's happened and the Bush Administration's political response, have U.S. Constitutional principles once held dear and precious become less than they once were?
