Karen, here is a quote from that article "when America becomes economicly stronger, when America takes over the whole oil of the region and puts it in its hands it is going to pressure politically and economicly every country that needs oil" --Tareq Aziz. My recollection is that it is America that safeguards countries like Japan's oil supplies. We let foreign companies like France's Total compete with ours on an even footing. Do do think that we will do as Aziz predicts? Notice that this is a civil question, I am NOT rollcast....
