In 1994 Kim Jong-IL and Clinton had a dangerous confrontation over diverting nuclear material from a power plant to bomb-building. Former Pres. Carter and Pres. Clinton offered economic aid and help to build two light-water nuclear plants whose spent fuel could not be diverted to build bombs. In return NK promised to abandon its efforts at building bombs and shut down its reactor. As soon as he took office, Bush broke off negotiations and called NK a part of the "Axis of Evil" even though they hadn't changed their actions from the year before. He called Kim Jong-il a "pygmy" and suggested that his regime may topple. So now, NK gets caught violating the agreement and places Bush between Iraq (pardon the pun) and a hard place. Bush is very very reluctant to attack NK cause he knows we will get our nose bloodied even though we will win. It will probably destroy the peninsula. So instead, he'll go after the ducks on a pond in Iraq and try to come out looking like a war hero there while leaving the far more serious problem of NK untouched and hoping that SK and Japan and Russia handle it...... In the meantime he lets NK ship medium range missiles to our "good friend and ally" Yemen...what the hell is he thinking of????? Yemen needs missiles??? For what, to shoot at another of our ships??? Now tell me your reasons for saying Carter armed the UK>>>>
