First of all, MediaResearch.org is a conservative website notorious for their slanting of the news and suggestions that the mainstream news is liberal..... I had a friend who sent it to me daily and I found that all they did was essentially repeat the previous evenings newscast without saying why they thought they were liberally biased... Check out their site and look at their motto... You seriously expect an objective study to be published by them? Puhleeze...they are no better than Newsmax.mediaresearch.org Secondly, the data you first quote is from the years 1964-1976!!!... 30-40 years old...I maintain that today's media, not just the nightly news teams, but all of the media...TV, cable TV, talk radio, talk TV shows, and even one entire TV network is predominantly conservative.... The surveys of the public by MediaResearch reflect what most of this thread thinks because they've been hearing it so often from the RW press and politicians. The results are disappointing to me but not surprising. And speaking of bias's, why is it that all the photo's shown in the MediaResearch link are of those largely considered liberal....why no pictures of Limbaugh, Hume, Hannity, NOvaks, Snow, O'Biern, Safire, and all of Fox News... How about the Christian Networks??? Any liberal pictures from there? Would you like to match names in all the media with me? How about also taking an article out of say, today's "liberal" NYTimes and show me the bias.... Be honest now, no help from MRC.... Have you considered how much of mainstream TV nightly news is devoted to national news and politics in particular? Maybe 7-12 minutes... Compare this to the round the clock RW shows on radio and Fox... Limbaugh is on 15 hours a week, Hannity even more..... I can't even name a liberal radio talk show.... BTW, here is a liberal's view on the claim that the news is biased...washingtonpost.com
