I looked at the PR's and the company's web site after your first post and their geologist seems like he knows his stuff. There's not a question in my mind that every one of their PR's is nothing but completely factual.

But the way I define "hype" (which is broader than most other people I guess), the mere fact that a company outs out half a dozen + PR's on drilling one well, per se, means they are hypeing the stock.

I'm pulling for them too. There may be a chance to buy even if they make a discovery, if everyone takes profits at the same time. I see where they've had a lot of gas kicks in this well. I wonder how far this well is from the nearest gas infrastructure. Hopefully they find oil.

Incidentally, if you are looking for a good long-term play on the price and potential future scarcity of oil, you may wanna check out Western Oil Sands (WTO on the Toronto). They own 20% of the Athabasca Oil Sands Project, which is "manufacturing" oil from the tar sands in the shallow depths over the acreage that URMP is drilling on. They have a massive amount of oil reserves and are just getting their bitumen mine going so they can start making oil.
