Tom; While I'm more bullish than the average forecaster,
it's with some reservations, and I'm waiting on a dip
to add any more to what I already have.
Also all my longs are hedged.
Let me put it this way, I trade in/out more than the
average , I hinted to my sister back in March of 2000
to sell most of her stocks and go in bonds, ( she
wouldn't think of it ) twice more I told her to get
out of stocks, to no avail. Well at this point I
wouldn't advise her to get out.

There are a lot of older investors who have held
all the way down, they were educated that way by
the wall street crooks and it's a mind set.
I would think it's rather late for them to toss in
the towel, and being they held this long I don't
expect them too unless they need the money.
Those older investors are not in debt up to their necks
so shaking them out isn't easy.

AS for oil stocks, I don't follow them much , but take
a look at this index
finance.yahoo.com@^djusos&d=t
AHC goes up when oil prices come down as their profits
are better with low oil prices, most of the others
are producers or drillers and go up with oil prices.
