Ginseng presumably gives your body "energy". Chinese herbalists almost always mix some of it in with their herbal "prescriptions", regardless of what your ailment really is.

According to the Chinese it is an aphrodisiac. Of course most everything seems to be an aphrodisiac to them. You would think with their over population and 1 child laws they would not worry quite so much about being able to get it up:)
