It's not a lie. Bush was AWOL for a whole year. It just wasn't a big issue in 2000 because Gore didn't make it one and we weren't at war. But in 2004 it will be a major issue, especially if Bush is running against a bona fide war hero. Bush has never risked a scraped knee in his life. He is all talk, no personal action. John Kerry took three bullets for his country and defeated many enemy time after time. Bush avoided the war.
