Apparently, not reporting to one's assigned base is an OK think to do in 'today's Guard'... 'cause you are right: he was 'honorably discharged'.

As you say, 'those are the facts'.

The Prez has never spoken directly to the claims that he was AWOL, has he? Perhaps he will explain his side of it in the future.

...As to refusing to take the required annual medical - the first year a drug test was included in the medical, what a coincidence :) - I doubt the Prez is ever going to say anymore about the episode. But, as you say, it is a 'fact' that he did not take the test... his lawyers tried to allow him to substitute some kind of privately-administered test (illegal, of course) but were properly turned down by the Guard... and then the future Prez took his medicine for skipping the medical tests: he was suspended from flying and assigned an extra year's service in a 'paper division' out in CO (which he didn't have to show up for either :)
