Kerry takes no money from special interests and has never profited from public service. Edwards made his money as a litigator representing damaged consumers against major companies. I dont know the details but I hear he's nailed some real stinkers for the little guy. To accuse Edwards of profiting from being a Senator is unfair. And since he's been in he hasn't been the party in power so how could he cut such deals you hint at?

Rather, look at the plethora of sweetheart deals being given to Bush-cheney's oil, HMO, drug and timber, defense contributors, including Enron and WorldCom up until they time they collapsed. McCain is disgusted by it and said so on TV, talked about the current system being one where the fundraiser (read Bush-Cheney's operative) calls the lobbyist for the industry and promises tit for tat. A recent example was the big favor done to Bush support Lilly slipped into the Homeland Security bill at the last minute. Lilly is being sued by some consumer group and this new clause exonerates them retroactively. That my friends, is pure and simple special interest corruption. Bushies are trying to defeat McCain's campaign finance reform in court now using Kenneth Starr as the lead lawyer. They want more of that enron type money. It really stinks, huh?
