The Israelis have nukes, but they can't even control the stateless Palestinians, much less their region.


Saddam did a pretty good job on the stateless Kurds, though, especially before the Gulf War. If the US withdraws and leaves a triumphant and nuclear-armed Saddam in charge, what do you think Saddam would do then?

PS. If the Palestians were trying their stuff against Saddam instead of against Israel, don't you think they might have tried a different strategy, knowing that Saddam would simply do to Ramallah what he had done to Halabjah? There is a rather different set of rules operating.
