U.S. Military spending at 300 Billion, is only 3 % of a 10 Trillion Dollar GDP. I would much rather see money spend on weapons & intelligence than on much of the destructive "social" spending done by the U.S. government.

Most military is spending is a waste or a dead loss to the economy. However, the U.S. has a lot of room to increase it.

I think the defense budget is approaching $400 Billion now. Funny to say, I kind of miss the cold war days.
