Liz I don't know about that. Is there no hope for a bimetallic currency with silver as the cheapie? Let's say silver goes to $20.00. Could you not have a coin similar to a silver dollar = a $20.00 bill? Has there not been those "rumors" that Canada or Mexico would want a silver backed currency? Sure their markets are small but the ball has to get rolling somewhere. Why even think about the metals if one thinks that there is no problem with the unlimited printing of script? So unless Claude is right and script is replaced by digital gold then we will need some coins to toss around someday in the future. We may need both.

Liz,

RE: <Why do you expect a miracle?>

What do you classify as a miracle?

RE: <When the last flush of money comes into the silver market I hope you realize that it will be the top of this speculative cycle into this asset class and time to sell.>

Personally I think we are a long way from this in silver...but the point is well taken. As an investor, one never wants to be "long" and holding at the end of any investment cycle, whether it be commodities, stocks (e.g. "Naz 5000"), collectibles, real estate, or any other asset class, for that matter.
