Hi jrhana,

The legendary investor Baron Rothschild said that part of his success in investing was that... "I never buy at the bottom and I always sell too soon." The Dow/Gold ratio might not reach one. I would settle for 5.

Guideposts, jrhana

Have I thought of guideposts....I'm always thinking about guideposts...The optimal time to sell will be on a retest of highs at some point made with the trend indicators (DMI STOS RSI PPO ULT) all failing to confirm for about the third time....then the hooks go in the DMI on the weekly....that'd be how I'd script it....

Obviously don't see any of that currently. As you've suggested they'll likely be some wicked corrections before the ultimate top...It'll be that rally back from one of them that fails that'll be the selling point for the true buy and holders...imho....

But let us concentrate on the moment..must commence practice on my newly adopted "hold through thick and thin" approach..Easy to talk about but you have to find some way in the practice to simulate the terror associated with that sudden unexpected drop in fortunes...

Good fortune....
