John first off my soul is all ready saved. I don't need a government to validate my existence. The quest for bettering ones self as you and I know is not always paved with money. But I'll bet you it would be difficult to find anyone here other than possibly yourself to condemn making more than one currently possess and then calling it a 'bad thing'. Some chase money and some crave the challenge. If that challenge leads one to borrow and increase ones debt, so be it. It's ones right to the chase and ones right to lose if wrong.
I believe in the democratic and capitalist system of government. It's being modeled every where including China. Seems Hong Kong has brought the lesson to home that capitalism works. China is even telling North Korea to let up on the saber rattling. Something they wouldn't do just a few years ago. Probably so as not destabilize their 6 or 7 percent annual growth?
I do at times feel our current government to be intrusive. But I have never had the feeling that I needed to adopt a father figure such as Mao or a monarchy to watch over me as if I was in no way self sufficient or capable to comprehend governing by the people.
I believe if one works hard or smart and hard a 10k square foot home is ones prerogative. I believe in this system of government to adapt and change to suite the needs of it's people without violating ones rights. It does at time feel as though those rights are being infringed and sometimes they truly are. But with time this system gives us the right and chance to correct such things. We are going to survive regardless of your opinion that this country may not. We will survive because we will fight to preserve what we have in monetary values and freedoms and rights to pursue such.
Much to my dismay that some 'certainly not all' immigrants to this country think of this place as a resource. And if the chips were down 'so to speak' would abandon this country in a heart beat if they were asked to defend or send an off spring to defend it. To those that come here to take with out the resolve to give. To that contingent of the population. If I could identify with certainty. I say take yourself home now and save me the trouble of kicking your ass back there.
