Yes, Pat Buchanan's take was excellent!

Now running for reelection, Mr. Sharon is claiming success: Suicide bombings are less frequent, and beleaguered Palestinian militants are discussing the possibility of declaring an end to attacks inside Israel.

Of course, suicide bombings are literally infinitely more frequent than before Sharon began his machinations, but don't expect reality to enter the world of these fanatics.
