Governments are always going to print more money. The whole system is based on inflation not deflation. The fed will do everything to avoid a general asset collapse, which would create widespread unemployment.

What do you think would happen in our cities if black unemployment rose to 40 or 50%? If you think the riots you now watch on TV are a statement, ours will be much worse. There are cities now that have sectors that are difficult to police or govern. Anarchy in the USA seems unlikely, but with high unemployment all bets are off.

That's not the current problem. There's a pool of US$s that is starting to move out of US T-Bills. Silver may be pulled by the rising tide but gold is really the blonde. You can bet the fed is clearly aware of the hot money problem. It's all part of being the world reserve currency.
