I guess you didn't bother to look at this extensive link of research I posted for yourself and others on this thread:siliconinvestor.com The answer is yes, and you can view photos of the actual SIGNED document by "this Faisal" (as you refer to him).eretzyisroel.org I suggest you go out and rent Lawrence of Arabia (since I'm not sure you are up to reading Lawrence's autobiography).. Faisal is the "guy" being played by Omar Sharif.. And his place in history is rather interesting, AND IMPORTANT, to the way Arabia and other parts of the former Ottoman Empire were carved up into nation states.. in particular IRAQ ... He was one of the sons of Sharif Hussein bin Ali, King of the Arabs and King of the Hijaz, who organized the Great Arab Revolt against the Turks during WWI (whom Lawrence provided British assistance).kinghussein.gov.jo And it's not relevant whether the British "were good at talking"... The point is that a son of the Hashemite King, Faisal, made a pact with the Jews to encourage their migration from Europe to Palestine. Faisal had a low regard for the indigenous population of the region (the Palestinians) and wanted TRAINED, EDUCATED, and most importantly, financially backed Jews coming into the region to develop Palestine, bringing needed technology that Arabs would require to develop their own lands and fend off British and future British designs. Thus, the British are irrelevant... What IS RELEVANT is that an ARAB PRINCE, obviously with the approval of the King, his father, agreed to permit Jews to settle in Palestine so they could have their own state. No matter how hard you try and disagree with it, it's documented history... It shows that Jews didn't arrive completely against the will of the Arabs authorities of the region.. And it shows that Faisal, probably under great pressure from other Arabs later on, was forced to renege on his agreement.Afterall, what right did the British or anyone else have to import foreigners and plop them down amongst strangers? The right of kings, according to the Arabs.. What right do the Saudis have to rule? Or the Alawites in Syria? Or the rulers of most other Arab states?? They WON the right to make such decisions because they were the strongest.. And that's the same right that Israel is exhibiting with regard to defending itself and occupying the West Bank. So long as Arab nations are hostile to them and seek their destruction, it doesn't make "what right" they have to do what they are doing, anymore than it doesn't matter what rigth the Arabs have for trying to exterminate the Jews. History lesson is over Len.. Hawk
