jr,
I would not plan on taking profits in May just because it has worked before. Change is on the way.
Expect the unexpected.

jr, Kern is the guy behind SKI, the one GC was yacking about. It is a useful system to keep an eye on.

Short of some sort of wave analysis I just apply TA and keep a close eye on the LT charts, looking for areas of potential overhead resistance. Follow this up by closely doing TA on some key stocks you own.

I currently follow BGO and DROOY very closely, because I own both and they turn over a lot of shares. I think they are good bell weathers for mid caps and below, regarding what the public is doing, accumulating or distributing. This area is where I am heavily invested as well.

I don't put much stock in last year, other than pattern observation. Patterns are more prone to repeat than than timetables imo, and patterns are a big part of wave and/or TA.

Yes, meant 4 digit.

Regarding EW, it appears several of the more recognized EW'ers, board related or otherwise, seem to think we are in a 5th. Sinclair even mentioned that possibility. I don't know for sure but tend to think not. This move appears to be very powerful so far, and fundamentally more in sync with a 3rd. Kern's comments also indicate a powerful move here. However, if the 5'ers are correct the next major correction will more than likely be pretty harsh. Something to keep in mind along with Slider's Pigs Get Fat Hogs Get Slaughtered.

SKI, as he is known at Kitco, posted there for years, his prediction where not always accurate, as with any prediction, but overall I liked his calls!
He used to be on the cautious side, well, it looks like he is no more!
